Marie Antoinette paper doll tutorial

Today I have one Harlee Quinnz project to share with you.. Marie Antoinette paper doll
Harlee Quinnz ephemera are great for using in mixed media projects.
To make this doll, first you have to cut out one of Marie Antoinette´s shapes form HQ ephemera
Then cut one first cone shape from cardboard (it´s just a half circle) and draw and cut the torso and arms for your doll.
Cover the torso and arms with book/music sheets and glue the ephemera image to the torso. Adhere HQ pattern paper from the butterfly collection to the half circle.
Glue your cone by putting both ends of the half circle together and spread a thin layer of gesso. Don´t forget to leave one hole at the top so you can put the doll torso there.
Hot glue everything to your first cone and prepare another cone, a thinner one this time. Cover the second cone with fabric and decorate your doll with lace, trims, blings, tulle, fabric, flowers, whatever comes to your mind!

A new Kitschy Digitals page layout

Today, I´ll share with you guys a new hybrid layout I did for kitschy digitals.

For this Live & enjoy the small stuff page, I printed and added something from the halloween kit and also from the prize ribbon kit. Everything here is like also makes me come back to Amélie´s world...
These photos were taken by Bob Cadloff. You can check his amazing work and store here.
It´s been days since I´m inspired by Bob Cadloff´s ph0tos and by this new Sassafras Lass Amplify line that I can´t stand work anything less artistic than this. Maybe this will change my work forever!

AMM Anniversary Crop Blog Hop & Scavenger Hunt

As part of AMM’s anniversary crop we’re having a blog hop and a scavenger hunt. Here is how this will work: each one of the AMM Design Team members will have a special post for the blog hop where you will have the chance to get to know them a little bit better. At the end of the post, there will be a question that will lead you on a hunt through the AMM site and/or AMM blog (the link to the AMM blog can be found on the left sidebar of the main store site and on the left sidebar of this blog). Be sure to check the anniversary crop forum for complete information on the Blog Hop Challenge. Here’s a little interview for you to get to know me better:
  • What is your favorite item in the AMM store at the moment? It is the Nutmeg collection by Cosmo Cricket. You can find it here

  • Are you a messy scrapper or clean and tidy? Gee, I´m a messy scrapper! I love creating on the floor and spread things through the space until it gets completely surrounded by papers, tools, paint and pictures, but I honestly would love to be cleaner and tidier.

  • What are your 3 must have scrapbooking products/tools? Edge distressor, scissors and a guillotine trimmer

  • What was the last scrapbook item you purchased? The Nutmeg collection!

  • What was the last non-scrapbooking item you purchased? a small fairy collection. I´m planning to use them in altered art.
  • What is your guilty pleasure? Chocolate
  • What non-scrapbooking items do you love to use on your pages? Book sheets and music sheets
  • Do you shop for your scrapbook supplies more online or at your LSS? Mostly online.
  • What scrapbooking embellishment or technique do you use on almost all of your pages? On almost every page of mine I put a butterfly or a cloud. I also distress a lot and use masks and mists.
  • How long does does it normally take you to complete a layout? Normally it takes about 3-4 hours.
  • Are you Contemporary, Modern, Vintage, Eclectic, Shabby Chic or other? Does it reflect or carry over to your scrap style? My style is eclectic, crafty. I also love shabby chic, vintage and anything that has a great dimension.
Now onto the scavenger hunt! Here is your question:
  • Name three manufacturers who have sponsored AMM in the past six months.

Now head on over to Lucy´s blog for your next scavenger hunt question!
